Last week was a dream. After months of planning and thinking about how to make the most of the opportunity to create something completely new, we were thrilled to present a fresh new take on the traditional New England inn. It’s cozy and sophisticated; comfortable and refined; attentive and private; and it’s exceptionally beautiful.
The Main House, one of the gems of Park Row, remains true to its 1848 architectural heritage but is enhanced with a new palette of warm colors. Guests will enjoy breakfast in the front parlors, with their antique floor-to-ceiling windows and views of the Mall. Next door in The Library, guests can enjoy a quiet spot for reading, working, games, and puzzles. This Library will also be available for private meetings or dinners. Pub165, with its grand fireplace, has sink-into sofas and elegant banquettes, local draft beer, a full assortment of wines and spirits, and a menu of light snacks. The public is welcome to all of these experiences.
For overnight guests, the bedrooms in the Main House are newly renovated, with eclectic furnishings ranging from traditional to mid-century modern and farmhouse. All are luxuriously appointed with tile baths, gorgeous original hardwood floors, and a delightful array of stylistic details. On the third floor, The Nest and The Treehouse provide fun alternatives for the traveler who appreciates a bit of whimsy.
While the Main Inn will retain our exceptional personal touch, the Carriage House will afford guests the opportunity to have a more private experience if they choose. Self check-in and self-service snacks and beverages will create a convenient and modern experience for travelers. These guests, of course, are also welcome to enjoy the amenities in the Main House. The Carriage House Club will provide guests with a way to earn redeemable points for multiple stays and bonus surprises for each visit.
Finally, we will continue to offer our beautiful space for celebrations and events. We are pleased to welcome Kate Moncada of Golden Hour Planning as our Event Planner and 111 Maine as our preferred caterer.
The creation of OneSixtyFive has been and will continue to be a wonderful adventure, and I am so grateful for the support of my team here on Park Row. You will meet many of them in the next weeks and months through our social media pages. I’m also so grateful to you, our loyal guests and friends and the champions of all that I have strived to create over the past 13 years. Without you I may not have found the inspiration needed to rebuild.
I can’t wait to see you again and to show you all the surprises we have up our sleeves. First up - the design reveal! Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for a first look at the newly designed Main house in the coming weeks.
And don’t forget to mark your calendars, because OneSixtyFive will be open to the public on February 1st!
